Every family has its own unique story and I would love to come and help you to capture yours.
When you book with me I’d love to hear what your expectations are for your images, what makes you tick, what your family quirks are and what’s your story. It also works magically to photograph a family/couple activity like hanging at the lake, playing on the beach or something you love to do as a family.
TIME
Golden hour is a beautiful time to shoot, at sunrise or sunset. No matter what the day brings even overcast moody clouds can give off such a sense of drama. Ireland has the most magnificent skies, lets embrace it!
Our shoot will go ahead whatever the day brings unless very heavy rain which I will make a call on 24hrs before shoot time, a little rain brings beautiful dramatic clouds which we LOVE & gorgeous even skin tones!
POSING
I try not to pose people too much and go for a more documentary approach but I will always direct and make you feel relaxed. I will always get to know your kiddies first and warm up with them and let you unwind naturally into the shoot. I love the candid side of photography but I will give you gentle direction and always direct you towards the beautiful light or stunning backdrop. The best images will be the ones that happen in between, telling your story, capturing your magic. Keep touching as much as you can, affection, hand holding, getting close, kissing or all of the above makes my heart sing.
I do not photoshop, I am totally a believer in capturing your true beautiful selves and not creating the image after.
HOME SHOOTS
When you book an in home shoot our shoot can take place anytime throughout the day. I never use flash, I love to use the natural pockets of light around your home. It’s such a comfortable space for you to be in your own home environment where everyone can feel relaxed. These shoots are ideal for newborn, maternity or family.
WHAT TO WEAR
I think this is the most important bit.
If we are shooting on the beach earthy tones work beautifully. Avoid bold patterns, stripes, sports tops or logos on clothing. Bare foot looks beautiful on the beach so don’t worry about shoes.
If we shoot in the park or woodland earthy tones again work but a pop of colour can make incredible images too.
Bring a few changes and we can mix it up along the way. Most of my shoots are in a natural environment so think flowing feminine dresses, loose hair, light makeup …. getting amongst nature, feeling free.
I am always happy to go over your wardrobe with you for the shoot.
Take along some drinks & snacks and make an event out of your shoot!
DELIVERY TIME
I aim to get all your images to you in your beautiful secure online gallery within 3 weeks (6-8 weeks for weddings) but usually before then!
